It was directed by Martin Campbell who would go on to direct Casino Royale and is one of the few things James Cameron ever admitted to admiring.
Hah. Is that a thing? I guess I can see him being a prude about throwing around praise.

haha Lance - there's supposed to be a "roll credits" title card at the end there, but alas I was too lazy to make one. SORRY.

And yes, that car rig was awful. Just awful.

Re: In which we discuss the things for which we are paid...

Universal got me into the Directors Guild of America as a "Director", so now I can be hired on tv shows, studio films and such, but have no clue how to start doing such a thing, outside of cold calling agencies in the hopes to get representation as a director (that process will start next week, whe...

"Pearblossom" - Unfinished Cut - c.2011

Welp, I finally rendered out an unfinished version of "Pearblossom", from... 2011? This film is wraught with problems - none of which I'll ever spend the time to fix at this point - so here it is, in its unfinished glory. I don't think it aged well, technically or politically (you'll see what I mean...

Re: The Hell With This Podcast #75 - "Under The Silver Lake" (2018)

I don't know if it was by design, but none of the story lines actually come to fruition. The dog killer, the owl lady, the whale thing...really the only thing that was referred to that actually came back into play was the secret map. Even the main characters journey just fizzles to an end with no r...

Congrats on getting into the guild, that sound very exciting. You'll be fired from a Star Wars project in no time!
A rite of passage!

And thank you!

The Hell With This Podcast #75 - "Under The Silver Lake" (2018)

Ep. 75 - "Under The Silver Lake" (2018) Is the sophomore slump a real thing?  Can our 75th episode count as a sophomore effort?  Mark and Chad devolve back into opening an episode with a quick discussion about STAR WARS - only they could derail their own podcast by discussing a topic that has nothin...

So, I got out of the Air Force in 2016 and moved closer to DC, still in Virginia though. Still just the 4 kids (13, 11, 8, and 6 - all girls). Became a government contractor/intelligence analyst for a while. Separated from my wife in the summer of 2017, divorce was finalized earlier this year. Ende...

Re: ITT: We talk about The Rise of Skywalker

On the whole, the trilogy was supremely crafted and I am more than OK with the amount of detail that went into the trilogy. That said, while I enjoyed each film, it's clear that they didn't think the "trilogy" through - they needed another year of plotting and laying out the bridges between the seri...

Honestly, that one we had in a 2k fest awhile back where the girl wakes up with her arm trapped under some dude (in a mask, before she cuts her own arm off to escape)... that was probably one of my top five. lol.
