The Hell With This Podcast #53 - "American Teen" (2008)

Ep. 53 - "American Teen" (2008) It took us 53 episodes to finally tackle a documentary! 53!!! So join Mark and Chad as they take a gander at a mostly forgotten documentary from 2008, "American Teen". Current operation: Duplicating this entire process twice more, for the work computers!
Don't you have people for that?
Yes! However, given it’s my ass if they fry the machine, I’ll at least be watching closely.

Current operation: Duplicating this entire process twice more, for the work computers! Definitely more powerful builds this time around. Titan V GPUs for overkill!

Karl Urban just came out and said that this film was actually shadow-directed by its screenwriter, Alex Garland.
Wow. That would explain a lot. Maybe that's the thing that gave him the confidence to direct Ex Machina.

The Hell With This Podcast #52 - "Lord of Illusions" (1995)

Ep. 52 - "Lord of Illusions" (1995) (ONE YEAR'S WORTH OF EPISODES) Mark's movie pick for the week comes from the disturbed mind of Clive Barker. "Lord of Illusions" is a movie that seemingly never left obscurity - so of course we're here to dig it up! Chad's never seen it, so the guys sit for a minu...

Re: ITT Faldor becomes a Frenchman, Gets job on TV show...

So, as regular readers will be aware, around this time last year I quit my job to pursue freelancing in video full time and it has certainly had some rocky moments where jobs that were all set to go ahead don't materialise because a producer decided they didn't want an onset supervisor the night be...

I, Tonya was not the movie I was expecting from the poster!
Is that a good or a bad thing?

Next question: had you heard of the whole Tonya Harding story? I've met a few Brits that hadn't. Even Margot Robbie said she read the script without having heard it was based on a true story.

Harry Potter is based in the 90's? huh... WHO KNEW. (only you did, apparently). Saw ANNIHILATION last night. Interesting film and a bit of a mind fuck. I had some wacky dreams last night because of it - dreams that I think actually made me wonder if certain parts of the film were tricks. Need to wri...

Re: NP2K Films proposal

I would say let's get the scripts settled first, then figure it out on a case by case basis. Lord knows we have the most trouble getting past the script phase. When should we start such a thing? I've basically just started a massive job, as I know has Eric, so I'm not terribly certain how much time ...

Re: NP2K Films proposal

I'm down. Ish. I think the general limit of 10 pages is probably ideal, but I definitely would love to read any shorts or whatever (if they're good), even if it means it's, like, 14 pages or something. And maybe the resolution limits, etc, could be at the discretion of the editor(s) that's taking it...
