Re: The ones that got away...

NAUGHTY SOLDIERS We spent most of 2003 making this. Riding off the back of films such as 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead, alongside people getting excited about the potential of MiniDV. We spent a lot, and we learnt a lot. We took a hiatus to film our final university film and when we came back...

Re: The Mummy Trailer minus most of the SFX and soundtrack

So, how has this happened? Is it just a single surround channel or is it as dumb as not exporting all the sound layers?

Re: Star Wars - Rogue One

Watched it again last night. Enjoyed it even more. Most of all it's great fun, and the plot is simple enough to not destroy my brain.

Re: Star Wars - Rogue One

I loved it. Any problems I had with it can be dismissed with "Yeah but it's not part of a main trilogy is it?" and then I feel better about life and myself. I don't think the characters will go down in history or anything, but what a lot of fun it is. Also it increased my "What the hell was George L...

Haha! I used to doodle in it in that way back in the early 90s. I did some in Photoshop but it never felt as fun so turned back to Paint.

Of course I had to bring it all back in to Photoshop afterwards before After Effects, but it was great to go back to simple stuff!

Puppies and kittens. What a choice you have there. A choice of two. Some would ask if you could choose neither. Many would say you certainly wouldn't choose the choice that ended up winning the great...puppy and kitten...race...

In case you didn't see it (I know it was forced upon some of you) - A title sequence I animated with a lovely guy called Lee Daniels for a computer game based TV show here in the UK - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isiHO5KwgC4 Took about a month and I drew about 95% of the elements in Microsoft Pai...

Re: TV: What are you currently watching?

Also late to the party, but just watched Stranger Things and absolutely loved it. I'm really happy that they're making shorter series over in the US. The lack of padding in Stranger Things meant it was great fun from start to finish. No padding and tight stories with an actual ending (imagine Lost a...

I want to meet more of you. Which means you ALL have to come to Bristol.

Maybe I should cross the Atlantic?

Let me know if you have official dates for being here and I'll clear schedules and practice a transatlantic voice so you can understand my accent.

I've heard some good things about "Hello Bristol". Skip "Sorry It Took So Long". Hipster garbage. Sorry It Took So Long is a hidden gem. Underrated. Give it a chance. lmao. Sorry, bud. No one makes classics anymore. Exactly my thinking :( Hold me. You were up whiteladies and you didn't come for a d...

http://s32.postimg.org/hv9tc9gc5/Everyman.jpg In short - There's an OLD local cinema where I live, (and even closer to where Martin (of Faldor) lives. It was always very popular, but closed down in the year 2000. Out of the blue, after over a decade of various people trying to get it up and running...

I do like Nerdist but only seem to get in to it if the guest is someone I'm aware of. Chris Hardwick seems like a lovely guy but it seems to be the nature of the show rather than him and his guests driving it foremost. Similar to WTF podcast I guess. Kermode and Mayo is a fun movie-based podcast tha...

My Dad

My dad passed away a couple of weeks ago. He'd had cancer for two years but wasn't really suffering from it, so the end came as a bit of a surprise. He worked right up to his final week. He worked in the TV and movie industry for 30 years, and worked with Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and a many a ...
