THERE ARE NO SPOILERS IN THIS SECOND POST.

I am really excited for The Last Jedi, me and Mrs Faldor have tickets for the double bill on Wednesday night with The Force Awakens at 9pm and TLJ at Midnight.

I'm so looking forward to it because I had to wait a week to see Force Awakens due to being hospitalized with cancer.

We are going to see it at this awesome art deco cinema which is a ten-minute walk from our place that was closed for about a decade and was reopened last year.

it should be a good night!

Dude, the quotable Lance. If you don't already write, you should.

Had a whole BUNCH of friends at the premiere last week, but none of them will give up the goods. Apparently the movie is pretty good.

I don't have tix yet, but hoping I can sneak in a showing next Sunday night or something.

No spoilers, but it's a good film but has some pacing issues. There are scenes I've been waiting for since the Disney sale was announced and scenes that felt like a retread.

For people expecting the Porgs to be cute and annoying, they actually have a couple of dark moments.

That sums up the entire movie nicely.

Here are some alternate titles I came up with on the drive home.

Star Wars: Episode VIII Disney Doesn't Get It
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Time I Drop Ten Bucks On This Shit
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Revenge of Supreme Leader Sno... Oops, Never Mind
Star Wars: Episode VIII Fuck Your Fond Childhood Memories
Star Wars: Episode VIII Chewbacca Eats a Porg
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Jokes Don't Work

It’s a weird feeling, but this is the first time I’m not super excited for the next movie...

NO SPOILERS

When it was over I turned to my viewing companions and said "There's a lot to take in here."

That's a good thing, I think.

I agree with Bryan about not feeling excited for the next movie, but I think I know why.

I have no idea what the next movie will be. None at all.

After we saw TPM and AOTC and TFA, we had a sense of what the next movie would be. We could have a conversation about it. We could make educated guesses. We could say, "Look, we agree that obviously This Character We Already Know Has To Do Such-And-Such."

TLJ leaves things so open that we can't have those agreements or say 'obviously' anything.

It's a little hard to get excited about something you can say so little about.

There were moments when I rolled my eyes but I enjoyed it far more than not. I'm easy.
