The Hell With This Podcast #50 - "Dredd" (2012)

Ep. 50 - "Dredd" (2012)

It's a crowded house for our 50th episode. Steve Phelan joins Mark and Chad to review 2012's cult hit(?) "Dredd" (originally titled "Dredd 3D", but that's a dumb title). There's not much to discuss - Chad and Mark love this movie. Steve hasn't seen it.

Performers of note: Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, and Domhnall Gleeson (in a thankless role).

Direct link, just clicked on the http://traffic.libsyn.com/thehellwithth ... _DREDD.mp3 . I get through the intro and a bit of conversation, it just stops and starts from the beginning when I hit play. I haven't tried it again yet, busy at work. I'll hit it again later tonight or tomorrow.

Hmmm, just tested this out on my end, played it and let it continue on, and it didn't have any problems. Sooooo, *shrug*?

Worked fine. Pretty sure it's on my end, probably because I'm always multitasking and it would like my full attention. ;)

Listening now.

Dredd was the only movie I remember that did not get a 2d cinema release with the exception of cinemas that did not have digital projectors.

Karl Urban just came out and said that this film was actually shadow-directed by its screenwriter, Alex Garland.
"We're here to fuck shit up."

Wow. That would explain a lot. Maybe that's the thing that gave him the confidence to direct Ex Machina.
