Solo was OK. It was basically two hours of fan service. I can accept that, even though it isn't good cinema. It was entertaining.

Anything is better than that dripping colostomy bag that was "The Last Jedi."

If anyone has any interest in a former '2k'er's success, Aaron Moorhead's new project "The Endless" is currently available (on sale $12.99) at:

Green Book was an interesting film about two guys who although initially don't really get along after driving around in a car for a while become firm friends!

Seriously though, I enjoyed it.

Did Chad ever finish his thoughts on Annihilation? Anyone else? I finally just saw it on Prime last night.

Really liked it personally. It makes more sense the more you think about it. Genius concept too. I have my own ideas about what happened, and I think that's pretty much the point. There's no hand-holding; you take away from it what you take away from it.

Also, fucking bear-thing.

Collected thoughts were: Enjoyable, with some incredible moments (the second half), but ultimately flawed (the first half & setup). The book was better, more convoluted and played out with a lot unreliable narration, which didn't play as well in the film, which was more face-value. Still, the last moments of the film, I thought, were incredible and worth the watch.

Very curious if they'll complete the trilogy. Somehow, I'm guessing no.

And yes. That fucking bear-thing.

I really enjoyed Stand and Ollie, I don’t know much about Laurel and Hardy outside of seeing their films on afternoon telly when I was very, very young but the story of the double act that’s been through it’s ups and downs really hit home.

The performances really blew me away, Steve Coogan, who is perhaps best known for yelling “Dan” in a car park and John C. Riley who is usually an indicator that a film will be bad were really on top form.

Really enjoyable film and by the end I had a bit of a tear in my eye, I need to track down more silent comedies.

hahah well now I want to see it. The trailer looked technically unimpressive, but the story seemed OK.

There is also a brief scene shot at Bristol Harbour, just down from that pub we went too.
