Re: Podcasts...
I think the last concern Mark and I have, is whether or not we have an audience. Truth be told, I'm not even sure I want people to hear these, but they're fun to record and let us indulge ourselves. Plus, the market is saturated with podcasts about movies "people have heard of". The whole point of this is to introduce lesser-known movies to an audience that maybe never heard of something.
Re: Podcasts...
If all that is accomplished with these podcasts is me getting to hang out with a friend and talk about movies all night, then I will be satisfied.

Soon. Maybe tomorrow? Recording a couple more episodes tomorrow night, which will bring us to five. What's the best day to release a podcast, anyway? Sunday? Monday?Faldor wrote:Cool.

Re: Podcasts...
Weekdays seem to be the most common, cos of commuting and what not.
I thought you weren't that fussed about people listening

Re: Podcasts...
Meh, it was lame anyway. The reference I mean. I'd say I was going to stop citing obscure reference that only I get but, alas, 'twould be a lie.Chad Peter wrote:I'm definitely missing the reference...
Edit: Just to clarify the reference (or maybe just solidify my position as a complete wacko) I felt I was getting a little too over the top gangster thug with my reply in an attempt at humor so I thought to rein myself in a bit and this popped into my head: https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/9f0fda37-c ... 958a075275
So there you go.
No, the word POPPED in reference to Mary Poppins was not lost on me.

Re: Podcasts...
Only took 6.5 podcast recordings to fry my production microphone. You can start to hear the beginnings of its failure in the latter half of the current Mark & Chad podcast (episode four). Had to send it back to Germany, just to figure out what's wrong with it. Possible that my Roland R-44 recorder torched it thru phantom power, OR Mark and I were just rocking too hard. Only thing that sucks is that I don't know if it was just a faulty microphone or IF the recorder actually really did torch it. Time to get a new recorder, regardless.

Re: Podcasts...
Started listening to Homecoming (https://gimletmedia.com/show/homecoming/all/). Might have a job on the upcoming TV adaptation of said podcast, so getting some "research" in beforehand.
Re: Podcasts...
I rather enjoyed Homecoming, until I realised I'd stopped listening after about six episodes, I should go back and finish it.
Recently I've been listening to Storybreak by famous Youtuber FreddieW. Where a group of writers have an hour to break a movie idea based on famous IP.

Re: Podcasts...
"The Hell With This" has joined the Dragon Wagon Radio network - https://www.dragonwagonradio.com/
This'll mean that Mark and I might have to start taking things only slightly more serious - but not really. Really it just means that other podcasts will be forced to suffer through promoting our show, and vice versa (you'll have to suffer through us promoting their other shows). It all makes sense in the end. We think.

Still true. Dragon wagon approached us and said "hey, we'll do the work if you join the network."Faldor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 11:30 amChad Peter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2016 1:20 pmI think the last concern Mark and I have, is whether or not we have an audience.![]()

Had a chance to sit down and blab with Elaborate podcast host Jake Lloyd (no, not THAT one) recently. Lank knows him well.
